Kings Langley Angle (September 2010)

Hello to all KLAS members,
Firstly I would like to thank all those members who have contacted me by phone and/or by Email. A big thank you for the congratulations on the first newsletter they were most appreciated. A thank you to those that have sent in or requested certain things to be included in this newsletter, you make my job a lot easier, and thanks to those who decided to send in a personal problem (you always get one), it amused me considerably, but I would suggest you try one of those magazine’s with a “Reader’s Wives Page”.

A Message from Alex Hyndman

Myself and the Committee would like to thank all of those members that fished the Heroes match on the 5th June.

Despite the lack of enthusiasm from most members a very good day was had by the eight members that did fish on that day and to this I praise their support for such a good cause. Our wounded Service Men and Women deserve all the help we can give them and I am proud to be part of a team that raises funds to put them on the road to recovery back into the next phase of their lives.

I am also pleased to inform all our members that donated generously that we raised a very good sum of £700.00 on the day. A letter of thanks is displayed on the notice boards from HELP for HEROES for all to see. Once again thank you all for your support and donations.  Alex Hyndman.

For those of you that would have liked to fish that match, but it was too short notice or you were expecting it later in the year, please read your newsletters as I will try as much as possible to give you up and coming matches that are not on Fixture list or are a slightly different format from normal as well as the match results.

Saturday September 11th 2pm – 5pm your chance to help Help for Heroes & Leavesden Army Cadets.  KLAS are holding a sale of mostly new and some secondhand, Bits, Bobs and This & Thats.  Items to include:- China, Umbrellas, Glasses, Cutlery, Chairs, Tables, Cabinets and lots more.  Profits to be distributed between the two good causes.
